The dispatch center is the first in Austria to offer taxi bookings via a messenger service, effective immediately, in partnership with \u201cTaxibooker\u201d <\/p>\n\n

\u201cWe pick up our customers right where they are\u2014literally,\u201d says Eveline Hruza, Secretary General of Taxi 40100. She adds, \u201cIf people use WhatsApp every day, why not use it to order a taxi?\u201d The numbers speak for themselves: According to the City of Vienna\u2019s 2023 Media Discourse Study, 64 percent of Viennese residents use WhatsApp regularly\u2014that is, several times a week. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to now be able to offer our sophisticated booking system in Vienna as well,\u201d says Arnoud de Niet, founder of Taxibooker. He adds, \u201cTogether with Taxi 40100, we want to help make it even easier for customers to book a taxi.\u201d The Dutch company already offers the service successfully in cities such as Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, The Hague, and Karlsruhe. <\/p>\n\n

Here\u2019s how it works:<\/strong>Customers need to save the phone number 0140100 in their phone\u2019s contacts. Then open the WhatsApp messaging app and search for Taxi 40100. Enter the exact pickup address and confirm. You\u2019ll receive the estimated wait time, order number, and a tracking link for the car, and shortly thereafter, you can relax and head out.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cCurrently, when booking via WhatsApp, it\u2019s possible to arrange rides at the meter rate and airport transfers. Soon, we\u2019ll also be able to arrange fixed-price rides via WhatsApp,\u201d Hruza says happily. <\/p>\n\n

By the way: Ordering via WhatsApp is just the beginning. Taxi 40100 and Taxibooker are already working on their next big feature: Later this year, Taxi 40100 will also allow customers to order taxis via Instagram and Facebook Messenger.
